These are sample itineraries. You can choose one of these, or we can customize an itinerary to meet your specific interests and travel dates.

NOTE: For most tours the booking must be completed 8 weeks in advance, but for tours during the festivals, booking must be completed at least 12 weeks in advance. Festivals held in the autumn and spring are peak travel time for tourists, and it can be difficult to secure accommodation and Druk Air seats without advance notice.

Step 2:

Choose your arrival date and departure date, and decide which Druk Air-serviced city you will be arriving from/departing to. The only airport in Bhutan is in Paro. Druk Air services the following cities:

Paro, Bhutan
Bangkok, Thailand
Kathmandu, Nepal
New Delhi, India
Calcutta, India
Dhaka, Bangladesh
Rangoon, Myanmar

Paro airport is daylight restricted, and the flights are totally dependent on the weather. As a result, sometimes flights are delayed. It is therefore a good idea to keep at least 24 hours of transit time for connecting flights out of Paro. You might also want to consider traveling on a nonrestricted ticket so that if you miss a connecting flight, you can be rerouted or seated on the first available carrier.

Sometimes flights into Paro are disrupted because of unfavorable weather conditions. If this occurs, the flight will stop for the night at the transit airport. To be prepared, you may want to carry your essential personal items in your carry-on luggage.

Step 3:

Complete the tour request form and submit it to us. We will confirm your agenda and Druk Air reservations via email.

Step 4:

Once your travel dates and itinerary have been confirmed, we will provide you with a visa application. At this time, you must also submit your payment in full. A visa clearance will not be issued by the government of Bhutan until all tariff and Druk Air fees have been received.
